🚨 Always spend 5-10 minutes familiarising yourself with who the prospect is and what they do. I will look over their website and chose 2-3 sentences that they use to describe themselves. I will also find something that I like about them. I will look at their previous experience on LinkedIn and see if I can find any common ground.

Pre Frame

💡 It’s important to frame the conversation so you have control of it. You are the one asking most of the questions, it’s sticking to a specified time limit and structure.

Well look, it’s great to connect with you today {prospect first name}, as we’ve only got 20 minutes I find having a structure really helps to get the most out of these conversations.

So the way I usually run them is:

First I will tell you what I know about you/your business already,

Then we will talk briefly about what you want and where you are trying to take the business

Then finally we will look at the obstacles and blockers that are potentially standing in the way.

My intention today is to work out if there is anything I/we can do to help. If there is then I will suggest some next steps, if not I will do my best to make some recommendations or introductions

Is that ok with you?
